Scaling up conservation agriculture
Phase 2 findings were published in the Journal of Environmental Quality in a 2022 special section on the soil health – watershed nexus.

Barriers & opportunities
In phase 2 (2019-2021) we deeply explored:
•What challenges (agronomic, economic, social) inhibit conservation practice adoption?
•What do farmers and farm advisors identify as potential solutions?
•What does the value chain want to see?

New paths forward
This report summarizes our initial phase (2017 – 2019) of work exploring policy, economic, and structural barriers to adoption of conservation agriculture across Michigan.
